Bad Talking Yourself

When I was a boy it was often said that talking to yourself was the first sign of madness. It was “common sense.”

But so wrong! Today we know that talking to yourself is a perfectly natural function of the mind.

However, how you talk to yourself may need some work, because that talk can be surprisingly unfriendly. This week we see how self-compassion changes the inner critic into an inner friend, and transforms your life.
